Roseville, CA (August 4, 2025) – Two Placer County sheriff’s deputies were involved in a collision Sunday evening while responding to a serious call for service in Roseville.
According to reports, the crash occurred near the intersection of Walerga Road and Baseline Road around 5:30 p.m. on August 3. The deputies were en route to Dry Creek Park to assist in the investigation of an attempted rape when their patrol vehicle collided with an unrelated civilian car. Authorities confirmed the deputies had their lights and sirens activated at the time of the incident.
One deputy and the civilian driver suffered minor injuries and were taken for medical treatment. The second deputy in the patrol vehicle was uninjured. The other vehicle involved was not connected to the ongoing criminal investigation, which led to the eventual arrest of a suspect.
