Fresno, CA (November 7, 2025) – Authorities have identified 41-year-old Juan Rodriguez of Parlier as the victim killed in a tragic crash involving a semi-truck on Wednesday morning in Fresno County.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal collision occurred around 6 a.m. on November 5 at the intersection of American Avenue and Del Rey Avenue. Rodriguez was driving a Dodge Challenger when he collided into the rear of a semi-truck that was making a turn into a business along the roadway.
The impact sent the Challenger into a nearby field while the semi-truck came to a stop in the opposing lane. Rodriguez was pronounced dead at the scene by the Fresno County Coroner’s Office.
The driver of the semi-truck sustained minor to moderate injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
