Los Angeles, CA (January 15, 2025) – Early Wednesday morning, a tragic accident left one person dead and another injured when a vehicle crashed into an apartment building in Los Feliz.

The Los Angeles Fire Department reports the crash occurred around 12:30 a.m. at the Park Western Apartments, located near the intersection of Western and Russell avenues.

According to preliminary investigations, a vehicle traveling southbound on Western attempted a left turn when the driver lost control and slammed into the apartment building. The impact struck two individuals inside the building.

One of the victims succumbed to their injuries at the scene. The second victim was transported to a hospital and is reportedly in stable condition.

The driver fled the scene on foot, abandoning the vehicle. Authorities are actively investigating the crash and the events leading up to it.
