Houston, TX (November 1, 2025) – A pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle early Thursday morning on Houston’s west side.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident occurred around 6:15 a.m. on October 30 in the 2500 block of Gessner Road. A gold Toyota Sienna was heading southbound when a 72-year-old man reportedly entered the roadway and was struck by the van.
First responders rushed the man to a nearby hospital, but he was later pronounced dead from his injuries. His identity has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Authorities have not announced any charges at this time.
