Tuscaloosa, AL (September 14, 2025) – A Friday morning crash in Tuscaloosa claimed the life of a 51-year-old woman after her car was struck while crossing a busy intersection, according to local police.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, the fatal crash occurred around 7:13 a.m. on September 13 at the intersection of Queen City Avenue and 15th Street. Authorities say Marchema Deshannon Williams was driving south on Queen City Avenue when another vehicle collided with the passenger side of her car as she crossed the intersection.
The impact pushed Williams’ car off the road and into the parking lot of O’Reilly Auto Parts, where it hit an unoccupied vehicle. Both Williams and the driver of the other occupied vehicle were transported to DCH Regional Medical Center. Williams was later pronounced dead.
The crash remains under investigation by the Tuscaloosa Police Department.
