Arcadia, CA (November 7, 2025) – Authorities have identified the man killed in a deadly crash Thursday morning in the Angeles National Forest as 29-year-old Mark Camberos.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred around 8 a.m. on November 6 along Chantry Flat Road, near the Santa Anita Dam. A Los Angeles County worker reportedly witnessed a vehicle leaning over the edge of a cliff before it plunged down an embankment toward the road that leads to the dam.
Officials from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Temple Station said Camberos was ejected from the vehicle during the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene. The Sierra Madre Fire Department responded to assist deputies with emergency efforts.
