Wise County, TX (October 7, 2026) – A 59-year-old Chico man was killed and two others were seriously injured Tuesday morning in a motorcycle crash near Bridgeport. The collision occurred at approximately 7:19 a.m. on October 6 at Farm to Market Road 920 and County Road 3407.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a Chevrolet Trailblazer driven by Carolyn Malone was traveling on County Road 3407 and collided with a Harley-Davidson motorcycle operated by Michael Young while the Trailblazer was turning onto Farm to Market Road 920.
Young was transported to Medical City Decatur, where he later died from his injuries. A 17-year-old passenger on the motorcycle was initially taken to a Bridgeport hospital before being airlifted to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital.
Malone also suffered serious injuries and was transported to Medical City Decatur. Authorities continue to investigate the crash.
