Crawford, MO (July 17, 2025) – A motorcyclist from Arizona was seriously injured Wednesday afternoon after being ejected from his bike during a crash on Interstate 44.
According to reports, the incident happened at approximately 1:25 p.m. on July 16 in the eastbound lanes near mile-marker 217. A 2024 RAM 1500, driven by a 47-year-old man from Belleville, Illinois, swerved to avoid debris in the roadway. The trailer unit being towed by the RAM struck a 2019 Harley Davidson FLHX traveling in the same direction.
The impact caused the motorcycle to veer off the left side of the highway, collide with the median cable barrier, and overturn. The 53-year-old rider, who was not wearing a safety device, was ejected during the crash. He sustained serious injuries and was transported by North Crawford Ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur. His motorcycle was extensively damaged and towed from the scene by Chris and Sons Towing. The RAM was not damaged and was driven away.
