Little Ferry, NJ (July 7, 2025) — A Moonachie man has died from injuries sustained in a devastating motorcycle crash that happened late Tuesday night in Little Ferry.
According to reports, the collision occurred shortly after 11:30 p.m. on July 2, when 25-year-old Chandler Dippel was riding his motorcycle south on Bergen Turnpike. Little Ferry Police Chief James Walters stated that a 40-year-old man driving a 2013 Toyota wagon northbound attempted to make a left turn into the driveway of Early Bird Laundromat and struck Dippel’s motorcycle.
Dippel was rushed to Hackensack University Medical Center in critical condition and sadly passed away from his injuries a few days later. The driver of the Toyota was charged with making an improper left turn after crossing a double yellow line to enter the laundromat’s driveway. While crossing a double line for a left turn can be legal when done safely, police say the investigation is still ongoing to determine all factors involved, including claims that speed may have played a role.
