Modesto, CA (August 4, 2025) – A 25-year-old man from Delhi was killed early Friday morning in a motorcycle crash on a rural road just outside Modesto, according to officials.

According to reports, the collision occurred around 5:11 a.m. on August 2 along Albers Road, just north of Dusty Lane in Stanislaus County. The California Highway Patrol says the incident unfolded when a northbound sedan began slowing to make a left turn into private property. Four other vehicles traveling behind it also began to decelerate.

As the motorcyclist approached the slowed traffic, he reportedly moved into the southbound lane in an attempt to pass. That’s when he collided with the sedan that was making the turn. Despite wearing a helmet, the rider suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the sedan was not injured. Authorities stated that neither drugs nor alcohol appear to be factors in the crash.
