Odessa, TX (October 13, 2025) – A 24-year-old man was injured Thursday evening in a motorcycle crash involving a pickup truck on 42nd Street in Odessa.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the incident occurred around 7:36 p.m. on October 9. Authorities say the motorcyclist was riding a black Suzuki westbound on 42nd Street when a black Chevrolet Silverado, driven by a 19-year-old male, attempted to make a left turn into a Walgreens parking lot. During the turn, the truck collided with the oncoming motorcycle.
The rider was transported to a nearby hospital with injuries that were described as non-life-threatening. The driver of the Chevrolet Silverado was not hurt but was cited for failure to yield while turning left and for lack of proof of insurance.
Police are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
