San Diego County, CA (September 10, 2025) – Authorities have confirmed the identity of the man killed in a violent motorcycle collision Thursday evening in Julian as 46-year-old Alfredo Able Trevino of Vista.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly crash occurred around 6:06 p.m. on September 4 on southbound State Route 79, just south of Harrison Park Road in rural San Diego County.
Officials said Trevino was riding a motorcycle northbound when, for unknown reasons, he veered into oncoming traffic and collided with an SUV. The impact ejected both Trevino and a female passenger onto the roadway. The SUV continued off the road, plunging down a nearby embankment.
Emergency responders arrived and found Trevino unconscious and struggling to breathe. Despite efforts to save him, he was pronounced dead at the scene at approximately 6:57 p.m. The female rider was transported to a hospital in unknown condition.
The crash remains under investigation.
