Sunol, CA (October 22, 2025) — A motorcyclist suffered serious injuries Wednesday evening in a collision involving a Tesla on the 680 Freeway in Sunol.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 7:41 p.m. on October 22 along the northbound lanes of Interstate 680 just north of State Route 84. The vehicles involved included a black sports motorcycle and a silver Tesla Model 3.
Emergency crews arrived on scene and transported the motorcyclist to a nearby hospital after he sustained a fractured arm. The motorcycle was towed with rollover damage, and the Tesla was also removed due to a damaged left rear tire.
CHP officers continue to investigate the cause of the collision.
