Polk, WI (September 29, 2025) – A 54-year-old man from the Village of Richfield died Saturday night following a collision between his motorcycle and a passenger vehicle at a Washington County intersection.

According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 8:38 p.m. on September 27 at the intersection of State Highway 175 and Hillside Road in the Town of Polk. Deputies arrived to find the motorcyclist unresponsive as bystanders attempted CPR. Sadly, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators say the motorcycle was heading south on Highway 175 when a northbound vehicle on Hillside Road, stopped at a stop sign, failed to yield and entered the intersection, striking the motorcyclist.

The driver of the passenger vehicle was assessed by EMS at the scene but did not require hospital treatment.
