Soap Lake, WA. (October 2, 2025) – A man from Ephrata was hospitalized following a crash involving a motorhome Monday afternoon in Soap Lake. The Washington State Patrol responded to the scene at around 4 p.m. on September 30 at the intersection of State Route 17 and an unnamed crossroad.

According to the Washington State Patrol, a 2007 Imperial Motorhome was traveling southbound on Highway 17 when it reportedly failed to stop at a stop sign and entered the path of an eastbound 1996 Chevy Geotrack. The Chevy struck the motorhome in a T-bone-style collision.

The driver of the Chevy, 43-year-old Danny D. Rhoads of Ephrata, sustained injuries and was transported to Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland. A 17-year-old passenger in the Chevy and the driver of the motorhome were not hurt.
