Coventry, Rhode Island (July 6, 2026) – A multi vehicle crash involving two passenger vehicles, a public transit bus, and downed power lines injured three people Monday afternoon and forced the closure of a section of Nooseneck Hill Road in Coventry.
According to the Rhode Island State Police, officers responded to 1395 Nooseneck Hill Road on July 6 after two passenger vehicles collided. The impact caused one of the vehicles to strike a utility pole, bringing the pole down onto a Rhode Island Public Transit Authority bus. Authorities said the bus driver was not injured, but remained inside the bus until utility crews secured the scene because of live electrical wires. The bus was not carrying passengers at the time.
