Woodbridge, NJ (July 2, 2025) — A tragic series of events unfolded Sunday evening when a BMW SUV crashed on the Garden State Parkway, leaving one occupant dead, another seriously injured, and two others fleeing the scene on foot.
According to reports, the BMW SUV was heading south near milepost 130.2 in Woodbridge Township just before 7 p.m. on June 29 when it collided with a Ford SUV and another BMW. The impact forced the BMW SUV off the roadway, where it struck several trees before overturning.
New Jersey State Police arrived at the scene at 7:04 p.m. to find the aftermath of the collision. Two occupants of the BMW SUV had fled before authorities arrived. Sadly, one occupant was pronounced dead at the scene, and another suffered serious injuries and was transported for urgent medical care. All four occupants of the BMW SUV were reported to be Staten Island, New York residents, though their identities have not yet been released.
