According to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred around 2 p.m. on November 10, 2025. Authorities said a speeding driver struck a bicyclist and a skateboard rider who were crossing 96th Street South from the south side to the north.
The impact left the bicyclist with critical injuries, while the skateboarder escaped unharmed. After the initial collision, the driver reportedly overcorrected and crashed head-on into another vehicle. A woman and a 1-year-old child inside that second vehicle were both hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
