American Township, OH (September 11, 2025) – A tragic four-vehicle crash in Allen County claimed the lives of two individuals early Wednesday morning, according to local authorities.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the collision occurred around 8:30 a.m. on September 10 on State Route 115 near U.S. Route 30 in American Township. Troopers say 40-year-old Sean Triplett of Florence, Kentucky, was traveling northbound in a 2009 Toyota Avalon when he veered left of center and struck a 2025 Chevrolet Equinox driven by 24-year-old Morgan Krouse of Kalida.

Krouse’s vehicle was then forced left of center, colliding with a northbound 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by 30-year-old Thora George of Lima. Meanwhile, Triplett continued in the wrong lane and hit another southbound 2022 Chevrolet Equinox operated by 60-year-old Joann Kahle of Fort Jennings, forcing her vehicle off the roadway.

Both Triplett and Kahle were pronounced dead at the scene. Krouse and George were treated at the crash site for possible injuries. Authorities noted that Triplett was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

The investigation remains ongoing.
