North Hollywood, CA (September 17, 2025) – A chaotic multi-vehicle crash in North Hollywood sent several people to the hospital early Tuesday morning and damaged nearby infrastructure, according to first responders.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred just before 6:45 a.m. on September 16 along Vineland Avenue near Vanowen Street. Four vehicles were involved in the collision, which struck and damaged a railroad crossing in the area.
One of the vehicles reportedly overturned and landed on its roof, while an SUV ended up on top of another car. Emergency crews responded quickly and transported five people to nearby hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries. A sixth person declined medical transportation.
The crash also forced a Ventura County Line Metrolink train to stop a short distance from the scene as crews worked to clear debris and ensure the safety of the tracks.
