North Edwards, CA (January 5, 2025) – Authorities have identified Eddy Miguel Castellanos, 74, of Weldon, as the victim of a fatal car crash early Wednesday morning on Highway 58 near Clay Mine Road.
The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported responding to the crash at approximately 5:36 a.m. Two vehicles were involved in the collision on the eastbound side of the highway.
Castellanos, who was driving one of the vehicles, was pronounced dead at the scene. The circumstances leading to the crash remain unclear, and authorities have not confirmed if others were injured.
CHP continues to investigate the accident to determine its cause.
