Monroe, LA (November 2, 2024) — A fatal crash involving two vehicles claimed the life of a man from Oak Grove on Thursday, October 31, as reported by Louisiana State Police.

Officials say 69-year-old Jimmy Densmore was driving a Ford F-350 when he entered the intersection of LA Highway 1268 and U.S. Highway 165 without yielding, causing his vehicle to be struck by a Freightliner box truck.

Densmore, who was not using a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the box truck sustained minor injuries and was transported to a medical facility for treatment.

Louisiana State Police are continuing their investigation into the cause of the accident.
