Georgetown, TX (November 24, 2025) – A devastating crash on Sunday afternoon left one worker dead and two others injured after a vehicle slammed into a utility truck in Georgetown.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety , the incident occurred around 2:30 p.m. on November 23 near Westinghouse Road and Kelley Drive. A black Ford Escape, driven by 20-year-old Alezander Cruz of Austin, was heading southbound on Kelley Drive when it struck an Oncor utility truck parked at a job site. The impact forced the Oncor truck into another vehicle, hitting three workers standing between them. One worker managed to escape uninjured.
A 20-year-old male worker from College Station died at the scene. Two others sustained injuries and were taken to local hospitals. Cruz was arrested and charged with intoxication manslaughter and intoxication assault. A passenger fled the crash site and remains at large.
