According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 3:28 p.m. on November 20 on the southbound Interstate 405 to the northbound State Route 55 connector. When officers and emergency personnel arrived at the scene, they located a blue Honda CR-V facing the wrong direction in the gore point—a dangerous location between diverging freeway lanes.
The CR-V had reportedly collided with a Honda Accord prior to coming to a stop. One person suffered major injuries in the impact and was transported to the hospital. The current condition of the patient has not been disclosed.
