The victim, identified as 47-year-old Matthew Migliore of St. Amant, was walking northbound in the northbound lane of Louisiana Highway 63 near the intersection of Oliver Wheat Road when he was hit by a Chevrolet Tahoe traveling in the same direction.

Migliore was rushed to a nearby hospital but sadly succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the Chevrolet Tahoe was reportedly uninjured.
