According to reports, the fatal accident occurred on July 11 around noon at the intersection of Greenback Lane and Almond Avenue. The California Highway Patrol says an 82-year-old man was walking along the shoulder of Greenback Lane when he stepped into the eastbound lanes outside of a marked crosswalk.
