According to reports, the incident occurred just before 12 p.m. on Sunday, August 3. Deputies from the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene near North Lillie Street after receiving reports of a pedestrian being hit by a train.
Authorities say a man and woman were walking on the tracks when a train approached. The man was able to move off the tracks in time, but the woman did not make it to safety and was struck.
