Austin, TX (November 1, 2025) – A late-night pedestrian crash outside a popular restaurant in Austin left five people injured and led to the arrest of a young driver.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the incident occurred just before 2:30 a.m. on October 31 in the 415 block of West Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, near the University of Texas at Austin. Authorities say 21-year-old Antonia G. Garcia Rios was driving a Ford F-150 pickup truck when she struck a group of pedestrians outside the Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers restaurant.

Four of the five victims were transported to nearby hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries. Rios was arrested at the scene and charged with two counts of intoxication assault. She was booked into the Travis County Jail.
