San Jose, CA (August 13, 2025) – A deadly crash occurred late Sunday night when a man was struck by a truck while crossing a roadway in San Jose.
According to reports, the incident happened around 10:13 p.m. on August 11 in the area of South King Road and Aldrich Way. Authorities say a white 2022 Chevrolet truck was traveling northbound on South King Road when it hit a man crossing the street outside of a designated crosswalk.
Emergency crews responded and transported the pedestrian to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased. His identity has not been publicly released.
The truck’s driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Police have stated that neither alcohol nor drugs appear to have played a role in the crash.
