Galt, CA (Aug. 13, 2025) – A Northern California pedestrian and a CVS Pharmacy building were damaged Tuesday afternoon when an elderly driver lost control of her Jeep Cherokee in Galt.
According to reports, Galt Police officers responded shortly after the crash at 1063 C Street, where an 81-year-old woman attempted to park in front of the pharmacy. Authorities say the driver accidentally accelerated, propelling the Jeep onto the sidewalk. The vehicle struck a pedestrian before hitting a metal handrail and the business’s windows.
Cosumnes Fire personnel treated both the pedestrian and the driver at the scene for injuries. No additional injuries were reported among customers inside the store. The incident remains under investigation by Galt Police.
