San Diego County, CA (December 14, 2025) – A young woman was seriously hurt Thursday evening after being struck by a vehicle while crossing Montezuma Road in the College East area of San Diego. The collision happened around 5:17 p.m. on December 11 in the 6500 block of Montezuma Road, just north of El Cajon Boulevard.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the 26-year-old woman was crossing the road mid-block from south to north when she was hit by a 28-year-old man driving a Honda Accord eastbound in the number one lane. Officers from the San Diego Police Department responded quickly to the scene.
The victim suffered multiple traumatic injuries including a fractured hip, pelvic and femur fractures, a broken sacrum, and a large head laceration. She was transported to a local hospital.
