Midway District, CA (November 18, 2025) – A 33-year-old man died late Friday night after being struck by a vehicle while running across an intersection in the Midway District, according to the San Diego Police Department.
According to local law enforcement, the fatal incident occurred at approximately 11:11 p.m. on November 14 at the intersection of Hancock Street and Camino Del Rio West. Police say the pedestrian was running eastbound across the intersection, reportedly against a red light, when he was hit by a BMW traveling north.
Emergency crews arrived and transported the victim to a nearby hospital, where he later died from his injuries. The 55-year-old driver of the BMW remained at the scene and cooperated with officers. Impairment is not suspected on the part of the driver.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
