South Los Angeles, CA (September 15, 2025) – A pedestrian lost his life Friday evening after being struck by two vehicles—one of which fled the scene—in a deadly hit-and-run crash in South Los Angeles.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal incident occurred around 7:35 p.m. on September 13, 2025, on Figueroa Street just north of 81st Street. Authorities reported the man was walking outside of a marked crosswalk when he was struck by a southbound silver Toyota Corolla. The impact knocked the man to the ground.
As the Toyota driver pulled over and attempted to help, a second vehicle—a blue car traveling in the same direction—struck the victim again and fled the scene.
Paramedics transported the man to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His identity has not yet been released, pending notification of next of kin.
The Los Angeles Police Department is actively searching for the second driver.
