According to reports, officers began chasing a white Chevrolet truck reported stolen around 7:24 a.m. on August 1. Although the Los Angeles Police Department called off the ground pursuit shortly after it began, they continued tracking the vehicle by air. Moments later, the suspect slammed into a Kia SUV at an intersection, causing the SUV to roll over.
