Indio, CA (December 28, 2025) – A residential fire at a multi-unit building on Dr Carreon Boulevard displaced six adults, one child, and at least one dog on Wednesday afternoon, December 25.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fire broke out just before 4 p.m. at a two-story complex in the 83000 block of Dr Carreon Boulevard, near Jackson Street. When fire crews arrived, they found flames actively coming from the structure. The building’s sprinkler system helped suppress the fire before it was fully contained around 4:11 p.m.
One individual suffered moderate injuries and was transported to a local hospital. Two dogs were rescued from the scene. The American Red Cross was called in to assist the displaced residents.
