Deschutes County, OR (November 1, 2025) – An 85-year-old woman from Redmond was killed in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon at the intersection of U.S. Highway 97 and Oregon Highway 370, according to Oregon State Police.
According to the Oregon State Police, the deadly collision occurred around 2:45 p.m. on October 29. Sheila Ann Nordman was driving a Ford Escape westbound on Highway 370 when she attempted to cross Highway 97. While crossing, she entered the path of a southbound BMW 3S, resulting in a violent collision.
Nordman was transported to a local hospital where she was later pronounced dead. The driver of the BMW, 21-year-old Sebryna Denise Parry of Terrebonne, and her 2-year-old passenger both sustained minor injuries.
Highway 97 was closed for approximately one hour as first responders cleared the scene and began their investigation.
