Oakland, CA (November 11, 2025) – A violent sequence of events in East Oakland ended in tragedy Friday morning, leaving a 15-year-old girl dead and four other teens injured following a two-vehicle crash and a hit-and-run.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident began around 9:40 a.m. on November 7, 2025, when a Toyota Corolla carrying five teenagers struck another vehicle near 14th Avenue and East 31st Street. Rather than stopping, the driver fled the scene and exited Interstate Highway 580 at 35th Avenue.
Moments later, while speeding southbound on 35th Avenue, the Corolla collided with another vehicle in the 3300 block and then crashed into a concrete wall. All five teens in the Corolla sustained injuries and were transported to nearby hospitals.
Tragically, a 15-year-old female passenger in the rear seat was pronounced dead after arrival. The teen driver was arrested after receiving medical treatment and now faces charges of vehicular manslaughter and hit-and-run. The conditions of the other three passengers have not been confirmed.
