San Diego, CA (September 16, 2025) – A nighttime multi-vehicle collision on State Route 56 left one man dead in San Diego County late Friday.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 9:52 p.m. on September 13 along the eastbound lanes of State Route 56 at Salmon River Road. Emergency crews arrived to find a violent scene involving three vehicles, including a sedan driven by 50-year-old Tomasz Bordyczewski of Poway.
Investigators say Bordyczewski’s sedan first collided with another passenger car, which then caused his vehicle to veer into oncoming lanes, where it struck a third vehicle. Paramedics responded but tragically declared Bordyczewski deceased at the scene.
