Tustin, CA (February 5, 2025) – A 19-year-old pedestrian, identified as Imanol Salvador Gonzalez, was struck and killed in a hit-and-run crash early Saturday morning in Tustin.
According to the Tustin Police Department, the fatal collision occurred around 3:57 a.m. near Nisson Road and Del Amo Avenue. Officers arrived at the scene to find Gonzalez lying on the roadway with fatal injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators determined that a black 2021 Chevy Silverado crew cab pickup was involved in the crash. The driver, later identified as 40-year-old Carlos Coronel of Buena Park, was arrested and booked into the Orange County Jail.
