According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at approximately 8:48 p.m. on October 15 on the westbound side of State Route 60, near the Moreno Beach Drive exit. A black Jeep was reportedly swerving before colliding with a semi-truck parked on the right shoulder of the highway.
Riverside County sheriff’s deputies and local firefighters responded quickly to the scene. Authorities said a passenger in the Jeep suffered head injuries and appeared to drift in and out of consciousness. The driver reported pain in the leg and neck.
