Milford, CA (November 1, 2025) – A tragic head-on crash on U.S. Highway 395 near Mill Street in Milford claimed the lives of two people early Thursday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the double-fatal collision occurred around 6:30 a.m. on October 30. A 76-year-old woman from Milford was driving northbound on US 395 but, for reasons still under investigation, was traveling in the southbound lane. Her vehicle collided head-on with a 27-year-old man from Westwood who was traveling southbound.
Both drivers were wearing seatbelts but died at the scene due to the impact. The crash shut down part of US 395 near Wemple Road for approximately three hours as officials conducted their investigation and cleared the scene.
