Sutter County, CA (August 23, 2025) – A woman lost her life Tuesday afternoon in a devastating two-vehicle crash in rural northern Sutter County, according to authorities.
According to reports, the collision occurred around 1:50 p.m. on August 20 at the intersection of Live Oak Boulevard and Eager Road. The California Highway Patrol stated that the driver of a northbound Hyundai Elantra attempted a left turn onto westbound Eager Road and entered the path of a southbound Honda Accord, leading to a head-on crash.
Emergency crews arrived to find the Hyundai in the northbound lane with extensive front-end damage. The Honda was severely damaged and came to rest near the Korean Methodist Church. A female passenger in the Hyundai was rushed to Adventist Health and Rideout hospital, where she later died from her injuries.
The Hyundai driver declined medical transport, while the Honda driver sustained minor injuries and was taken to the hospital. An investigation is ongoing.
