Cleveland, OH (June 21, 2025) — A man assisting with a work-related task was seriously injured Wednesday morning after being accidentally run over by a work truck outside University Hospitals on the Case Western Reserve University campus.
According to reports, the incident took place at approximately 8:30 a.m. on June 18 in the 2100 block of Adelbert Road. A 50-year-old man was reportedly on the roadway helping guide a truck in reverse when the vehicle struck him.
Emergency responders transported the victim to the nearby emergency room immediately after the accident. His name and current condition have not yet been released.
Officials from Case Western confirmed that the truck was part of work being conducted on university grounds. Video from the scene shows one of the individuals involved undergoing a field sobriety test as part of the investigation. Authorities are continuing to look into the incident.
