Laredo, TX (September 16, 2025) – Five individuals were hospitalized Sunday night after a serious rear-end collision involving a pickup truck and an 18-wheeler in Laredo, authorities confirmed.

Police reported that an 18-wheeler was stopped at a red light when it was struck from behind by a pickup truck carrying five passengers.

A 24-year-old woman and a 21-year-old woman sustained critical injuries and were transported to Laredo Medical Center and Doctors Hospital, respectively. The 20-year-old male driver of the truck and another 20-year-old male passenger were also taken to area hospitals in critical but stable condition.

A 20-year-old female passenger was treated for a foot injury and is in stable condition. The driver of the 18-wheeler was not injured.
