According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident took place at approximately 8:19 a.m. on October 16 at the intersection of West Louis Henna Boulevard and County Road 172. A Round Rock Independent School District bus collided with two other vehicles in the intersection. One of the vehicles reportedly caught fire following the crash.

The bus was carrying eight students at the time. The bus driver quickly evacuated the children, and emergency responders evaluated all students at the scene. One student required additional medical attention and was released to family. The rest were safely returned to campus.
