Palmdale, CA (October 17, 2025) – A tragic crash claimed the life of a 40-year-old man on Wednesday afternoon just east of Palmdale, according to officials.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal crash occurred around 3:35 p.m. on October 15 at the intersection of East Palmdale Boulevard and 150th Street East. The victim, identified as Jason Hutton, was driving a 2004 Honda Civic southbound on 150th Street East when he attempted a left turn. During the maneuver, his vehicle was struck by a westbound 2010 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck.
Hutton, a Palmdale-area resident, sustained fatal injuries in the collision and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The pickup driver, a 35-year-old man from Lancaster, suffered moderate injuries and was taken to Palmdale Regional Medical Center for treatment. Both men were reportedly wearing seatbelts, and authorities do not suspect impairment.
