Nederland, TX (October 26, 2025) – A tragic collision in Jefferson County claimed the life of one person Thursday morning after a pickup truck rear-ended a box truck on Twin City Highway.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the fatal crash took place at approximately 11:45 a.m. on October 24 near the intersection of Twin City Highway and Lone Star Drive in Nederland. Authorities reported that a northbound Toyota Tacoma pickup truck crashed into the rear of a box truck that had slowed down to make a left-hand turn.
The driver of the Tacoma died at the scene. The driver of the box truck and an adult passenger were not injured in the accident.
Officials have not yet released the name of the deceased individual, and the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
