Kansas City, MO (December 24, 2025) — A deadly incident unfolded near Kansas City International Airport Monday morning when a semi-truck driver was hit and killed by a trailer tug vehicle.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, emergency responders were called to the scene around 7 a.m. on December 23 at Northwest 106th Street and North Pomona Avenue. Investigators determined that the truck driver had exited his semi and was standing in the roadway when he was struck by a Kalar Hustler trailer tug, a powerful vehicle used for towing heavy equipment.
