Shawano, WI (June 6, 2025) — A tragic accident unfolded early Friday afternoon in Shawano County, resulting in two fatalities.
According to reports, the collision occurred around 1:30 p.m. on June 6 at the intersection of County Road BE and County Road B in the Town of Waukechon. Authorities stated a pickup truck was traveling eastbound on County Road BE when an SUV, attempting to turn west onto the same road from County Road B, entered the pickup’s path. The SUV was struck in the eastbound lane during the turn.
Emergency crews found the SUV’s driver, a 69-year-old woman, and her 71-year-old male passenger, both from the Bonduel area, unresponsive. Despite life-saving measures, both were pronounced dead at the scene. The pickup truck’s driver sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital for further evaluation.
The Shawano County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation with assistance from multiple agencies.
