Meade County, KY (May 29, 2026) – A head-on collision in Meade County on Friday afternoon left one man dead and three others seriously injured, including two juveniles.
According to the Kentucky State Police, troopers responded to the crash at approximately 3:27 p.m. on May 29 along Bypass Road near High Street.
Investigators reported that 34-year-old Dustin Farmer of Central, Indiana, was driving north on Bypass Road when his vehicle crossed into the center turn lane and entered the path of an oncoming pickup truck. The two vehicles collided head-on, causing severe damage and prompting a large emergency response.
Farmer suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities said the woman driving the pickup truck sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to UofL Hospital for treatment.
Two juvenile passengers traveling in Farmer’s vehicle were also seriously injured. Emergency crews transported the children to UofL Hospital and Norton Children’s Hospital for further medical care.
